Following the Leader

"'For I know the plans I have for you'—this is the Lord’s declaration—'plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'" Jeremiah 29:11 (HCSB)

We're currently in a season of significant transition in our family. One year from now, our lives will look completely different than they do today. The thing is, we have absolutely no idea what life will look like when the transition happens. For this Type A girl who loves to know exactly where she's going and have a detailed plan of how to get there, it can be a little overwhelming.

Seasons of change and trials can be like that, can't they? They can fill us with fear and worry over the unknown and our ability to control things.

But they don't have to!

Jeremiah 29:11 makes it clear that even though we don't know the future, our sovereign God does! He sees us where we are right now, and He knows precisely where He wants to lead us. All we have to do is rest in His goodness and keep our eyes on Him to follow His path.

Sweet friend, whatever season you're in today, press into the Lord and trust Him to lead you through it!

Sovereign Lord, You are so good to me! Thank You for your loving faithfulness that does not fail me. Thank You for having a plan for my life and leading me there. Help me keep my eyes fixed on You today, trusting that You will guide me where You want me to go. In Jesus' name, amen.
