I have to be honest, I've wrestled for over a week about what to write for today's post. No matter how hard I try, I can't come up with a way to expound on this scripture. I think that's because it is just so perfectly succinct as it is.
Christ Jesus is the only Way to the Father. Christ Jesus is the only Truth that leads us to the Father. Christ Jesus is the only source of Life with the Father. There is no other way to the Father--only Jesus.
When you read this verse in context it is so abundantly clear. So, today I encourage you to take a couple of minutes to read John 14:1-7:
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be. And you know the way where I am going.”Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” (NASB).
If we know Christ Jesus, really know Him, we also know the Father. Because Jesus is the only Way.
