Inspire. Invite. Ignite. IN Christ: Ministry Update

Friends of Humble Faith,

Each year, the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, I choose one day to sit with the Lord to prepare for the upcoming year. I spend time dreaming with Him as I pray and study Scripture, asking for His guidance in my goals and how I should approach them. I love planning, strategizing, and dreaming, which makes this day one of my favorite days of the year!

A large part of vision casting for the future requires looking back at the previous year to take inventory of what I’ve accomplished or, more accurately, what God has accomplished through me. This is always an exciting exercise as it allows me to see His faithful hand at work in my life. I’ve come to realize that if I don’t take time to remember how God has worked in my life, I am very likely to either forget or not notice at all.

As we’ve been preparing for 2023 at Humble Faith, we’ve had the opportunity to do the same. As we think about budgeting, we’ve looked back to see how God has faithfully supplied our needs in ways and, quite frankly, amounts we never imagined. As we’ve discussed how to serve and develop Humble Faith’s community, we’ve recognized the growth the Lord has given the ministry in a short period. While planning and preparing new resources, He has confirmed that we are doing the work He set before us by the testimonies of those who have used them. God is moving, and we are here for it! We are so thankful for the opportunity to look back and observe what He has already done!

We’ve also been blessed to see how He has used you, our community, to not only help us meet financial needs through generous donations but to provide great encouragement as you pray for us, share our ministry with others, and tell us how Humble Faith is helping you pursue Christ daily. God is using you in ways you probably don’t even realize to help us complete the tasks He is giving us and sustain our hearts and minds for our work. We are so grateful to you!

Truth be told, ministry can be hard. Starting a new ministry amidst our busy lives of taking care of our families and homes, serving at church and in our communities, and working full-time jobs has proved overwhelming at times. There are brief moments when the enemy tries to whisper into our ears that it is all too much, so maybe something needs to go. But as we’ve looked back at all the Lord has done to propel Humble Faith Ministries forward in just a few short months, we are reminded that we can do all He calls us to because Christ is our strength (Philippians 4:13). That is what sustains us!

As 2023 kicks off, we have so many exciting things planned, and we cannot wait to share them with you! But today, we want to share a brief report of the highlights of God at work in Humble Faith and how you have been a huge part of what He is doing since we launched September 1, 2022:

Friends, thank you for your prayers. Thank you for sharing our social media posts and blogs and telling your friends about Humble Faith. Thank you for every resource you’ve purchased. Thank you for the invitations to come to speak to the women in your community. Thank you for your generous donations. Thank you for coming alongside us and allowing the Lord to use you to help us fulfill the mission He has given the Humble Faith Team! Thank you! Thank you!

My words can’t adequately express how grateful we are and how much your encouragement means to us! As I was praying about how to express my gratitude, Paul’s closing in his letter to the Philippians came to mind, so here it is in my own words to you:

At the beginning of our ministry, you partnered with us in giving and receiving. Time and again, you have given us help and encouragement. We don’t seek the gifts but desire the fruit that your gifts produce! May your gifts be fragrant offerings, acceptable and pleasing to God. And may God provide for your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. All glory be to our God and Father forever and ever! (Philippians 4:15-20)

We are blown away by the goodness of God! We know your gifts are fragrant offerings that He delights in! We praise His name for each and every one!

As we look back at what He has already done, we cannot wait to step out in faith to complete what He has given us for 2023! May we always take note and give thanks when we see His hand at work in our lives and our ministries!

Thank you for your support of Humble Faith Ministries and your belief in what the Lord is calling us to accomplish. We are so very grateful!

With love,

Chrissie Angell
